Ready to get moving with SocialEquity?

CONGRATULATIONS! We’re so excited to welcome you to the family!

Before we get going, there are a few things we’ll need you to do:

  • Be sure you’ve read the “An Introduction to SocialEquity” and “Is SocialEquity Right For Me” e-books. These will give you a good high-level overview of our organization, the benefits of joining, and what fractionalized homeownership is all about.
  • Make sure you have your Social Security number handy and can be ready to answer some basic questions about your background and financial history. (More details on how that information is used in a minute.)
  • Set aside some time to complete the interview and onboarding survey thoroughly and thoughtfully. It should only take around 30 minutes, so grab a coffee, put on your favorite playlist, and get ready!

Once you’ve checked the above boxes, you’re ready to begin our simple, three-step process.

Applying to become a member

Unlike other social networks, SocialEquity screens each applicant before granting them membership and access to the platform. We do this for several reasons:

  • Safety – SocialEquity is designed from the ground up to empower our members to do more – individually and collectively – than ever before. This is predicated on the ability to interact, express oneself, and collaborate in a safe environment. As a result, each member is required to have a clean background check before gaining access.
  • Transparency – When interacting within the SocialEquity network, members are required to use their own name and likeness. Mutual respect is a core pillar of the SocialEquity approach, so no cryptic screen names or cute avatars to conceal identities. There are plenty of other ways to highlight your creativity and character, but we want to see the true and authentic you!
  • Readiness – Although we want people to connect, collaborate, and have fun on our platform, the intent is to help compatible people find each other, find homes, and begin building the lives they want to lead. Doing so requires a degree of willingness and financial readiness. That’s why we’ll conduct a credit check as part of our approval process. This doesn’t mean there’s a ticking clock for you to make a decision – and you could ultimately determine fractionalized homeownership is not for you – but we want to make sure we’re building a network of individuals who are open to (and actively seeking) this type of community building and homeownership approach.

2

Connecting with people

Once you’ve been accepted and granted access to the SocialEquity platform, you’ll begin your journey by completing a comprehensive survey aimed at capturing those elements that make you uniquely you. This information will be used to facilitate connections with individuals who share the same tastes, pursuits, and passions; as well as help to create a profile of the type of home in which you would like to live.

Although this portion of the onboarding process can take a bit of time, this level of thoroughness sets SocialEquity apart from any other network on the planet. Take your time, answer the questions honestly, and enjoy the process of meeting people, exploring how you connect, and ultimately discovering what kind of environment and people are compatible with the kind of person you are, and the life you want to live.

3

Forming your SocialLiving group

As you round out the first two steps, the real fun begins! SocialEquity blends a robust interactive experience with the fun of in-person meetups. Through an ongoing series of hosted events, you’ll have an opportunity to meet local SocialEquity members in a safe, social, and engaging way.

As these connections are made and you begin to build SocialLiving groups of your own, these relationships will serve as the foundation for your SocialEquity home buying experience. Meeting people with whom you would happily share a home – and with whom you would like to share the financial benefits of homeownership – is the backbone of our entire organization.
